Garnet

Garnet media, with a specific density of 4, is the heaviest media material and is capable of filtering particles in the 10–20 micron range. Filter sand or Turbidex mineral is used as the middle layer, while anthracite media, which has the lowest density and the largest particle size, is used as the top layer mineral.
